TFA's Services Are Aligned Into Two Areas:  Capital Raising/Financial Advisory and Operational Consulting

1. Capital Raising/Financial Advisory

  • Raising the Capital.  TFA knows where and how to find capital to meet a Tribe's financing needs.  We leverage our relationships – and credibility – with banks and other financial institutions to benefit our Tribal clients.  TFA has strong relationships with a diverse array of capital providers who lend to Indian Country.  Several of these institutions have a strategic relationship with us - they look to TFA as an extension of their marketing effort in Indian Country and have committed to take a ‘first look' at transactions we bring to market.
    • When others tell you "no", TFA excels in creating a unique story to get a tough deal done.
    • We analyze debt solutions - bank and bond - to create strategic alternatives for solutions that reflect our client's unique situation and the current market environment.
    • We negotiate critical agreements for our clients – sitting on the Tribe's side of the table – so that a Tribe's business partners and lenders will give our clients the best terms possible.
  • Strategic Financial Advice.  Working with a Tribal Council to understand long-term goals and objectives, we evaluate the feasibility of opportunities from a financial perspective, offering real solutions and strategic advice using our unrivaled market knowledge.
    • We assist Tribal Councils in analyzing diversification opportunities such as acquisitions of businesses, development of tribal enterprises and capitalizing on natural resources in order to make informed decisions.
    • We assist and advise in debt renegotiations and restructuring.  Together with a Tribe's legal team, TFA helps Tribes manage relationships with current lenders with regard to existing loan issues, debt restrictions and potential covenant breaches.
    • Our solutions are grounded in financial modeling and deep understanding of practical solutions – we don't put our clients through the paces – TFA finds "do-able" outcomes.

    • Oaktree, founded April 1995, has offices in 13 cities in 10 countries with over $75 billion of assets under management.
  • Our Joint Venture affiliate offers a deep bench of talent that works with the Tribe to understand its current situation and looks for ways to increase the revenue and profitability of gaming operations.  We work together with the Tribe's management team - the Tribe maintains control of all decisions.
