Tribal Financial Advisors' Services Are Aligned Into Three Divisions
1. General Financial Assessments and Strategic Financial Planning
- We assist Tribes and Tribal Enterprises to assess their overall financial health. Analyzing their financial position from the bottom up and answering the questions: where are we, how did we get here, where are we headed, where do we want to be and how do we get there?
- We work with Tribal Council to understand their long-term goals and objectives and then evaluate their feasibility from a financial perspective, offering real solutions and strategic advice using our unrivaled market knowledge.
- We assist Tribal Council in analyzing diversification opportunities such as acquisitions of businesses, development of tribal enterprises and capitalizing on natural resources in order to make informed decisions.
2. Refinancing of Existing Debt and New Financing Needs
- We assist Tribes with finding financing – we know where and how to find capital. Whether for government capital projects, expansion of a Tribe’s existing enterprises, or meeting general liquidity needs, when a Tribe requires additional financing, TFA can help identify and work with potential financing sources to meet the Tribe’s needs.
- We analyze debt agreements – bank and bond - to create strategic alternatives for changes (e.g. amendments, extensions and wholesale refinancing) - grounded in the reality of what can actually get done given our client's unique situation and the current market environment.
- We negotiate critical agreements for our clients – on the Tribe's side of the table – so that a Tribe's business partners and lenders will give our clients the best terms possible.
3. Renegotiating and Restructuring of Existing Debt
- We assist and advise in debt renegotiations and restructuring. TFA helps Tribes manage relationships with current lenders with regard to existing loan issues, debt restrictions and potential covenant breaches.
- Working with a Tribe's legal team, TFA handles all aspects of debt restructuring including the negotiation of consent solicitations and agreements from existing lenders.
